It's Just Another Weekend for Me...

Back to work!

Many of you probably don't know yet, that I work a strange full-time work schedule. I only work 3 days a week, well, technically, 3 nights. Last night was my first work night of the week. I'll lay out my normal weekly work schedule for you here (it is occasionally different than what I am telling you, but not very often):

Friday: 7am- wake up; 9:30am- (2 hour) DBT class; 4pm- get ready for work; 5pm- leave for work; 5:45pm- arrive at work and try to not sleep ALL night (not even kidding, but I wish I was)

Saturday: 6:15am- leave work; 7am- arrive at home and try to sleep; 4pm- wake up, get ready for work; 5pm- leave for work; 5:45pm- arrive at work and try not to sleep all night, again

Sunday: 6am- clock out (so I'm no longer being paid for being at work, but...); 8am- leave work; 9:30am- arrive at home and try to sleep; 4pm- wake up, get ready for work; 5pm- leave for work; 5:45pm- arrive at work and try to stay awake all night, for the third night in a row

Monday: 6am: leave work; 7am- arrive at home and do nothing, maybe sleep, or maybe stay awake, but I don't do ANYTHING on Mondays!

So, yeah. I kinda sucks. On Monday I prefer to NOT sleep throughout the day so I can switch back to a day-time schedule. So, if you see dark circles under my eyes in pictures, this is why. I don't sleep... Ok, I do, but not much, really. It's all crazy. What really sucks is that it seems like EVERYTHING fun happens on a Saturday and I would so love to participate in these activities, but I can't unless I want to be dead tired all day and night, quite literally.

Last night I was like, passing out in a chair at work by like, 10pm. So I slept a bit, but I was up and down, in and out of sleep ALL night. I would wake up every couple of hours. I can't sleep very well when I'm not at home.

So, right now I'm kinda supposed to be sleeping, and I'm getting tired enough to very soon (than goodness!), but I really have a hard time sleeping when it's so light and bright outside, even the birds keep me awake. I NEED BLACK-OUT CURTAINS BADLY! I have an eye-mask and it helps a bit, but I think I'm getting a bit immune to it. Another option I have is to take a Benadryl to help me doze off, though, the first, and last, time I did that, I didn't sleep very deeply. I kept popping awake every couple hours, even at home. I hate this part of it. The sleep issue sucks so badly. And with that Friday-Saturday crap, how the HELL does my boss (or anyone else) expect me to be able to stay awake for 24 hours straight!?! Most people sleep after being awake for 14-18 hours! Last week I managed it, but not this week. I also had coffee...

Caffene does crazy things to me! I seriously makes me SO hyper I do such embarassing things when I have it. I was talking to a co-worker about her past and she's done drugs (but is clean now and has been for a LONG time) and I was kind of curious about it all because I have never involved myself in any of that crap. So I asked questions like where Cocaine and Heroine come from, what they cut it with, stuff like that. I'm not gonna get started or anything, not even considering it, I was really just curious. I also asked her what the effects on the body when on the drugs are. SHe said Heroine puts you to sleep and Cocaine kees you awake. I asked, "Like caffene?" and she said "yes, but higher," which I figured. I mean, if it was anything like caffene it would be legal or caffene would be illegal. I went on to say how disasterous and scary that would be for me to take, because of how caffene already affects me (she has SEEN it with her own eyes, it truly is amazing, what's even more amazing is how caffene used to put me to sleep!). So yesterday was pretty educational and informative. I felt comfortable asking her those questions because I know she knows I'm not thinking about getting into it, that I'm truly don't know and am just curious.

So, yeah. That's work for me... sorta. I'm a graveyard caregiver, so I tend to not have a lot to do anyway.

Anyway, peace out, keep the love! <3
